A juvenile adventure serial based on the comic strip by Dick Calkins and Phil Nowlan. Buck was a young adventurer who was trapped in suspended animation and woke up in the twenty-fifth century. The show was off the air from 1936 to 1939 and again from 1940 to 1946. Curtis Arnall was the first Buck, followed by Carl Frank, Matt Crowley and John Larkin. Buck's beautiful companion Wilma Deering was played by Adele Ronson and Virginia Vass. Buck's other constant companion, the brilliant scientist Dr. Huer, was played by Edgar Stehil. The announcers were Fred Uttal, Paul Douglas and Kenny Williams. The program awarded many premiums, including paper guns and helmets, solar maps and cutout adventure books. Some of these are now extremely valuable.
